NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 24, 2019) – The Sacred Heart Health System announced today a new comprehensive medical office building being developed in Wildlight to be completed in July 2020.
This will be the first phase in a strategic health alliance between Sacred Heart and Alliant Properties that will bring health care and healthy living to Wildlight. The second phase, a wellness center, will be a 35,000-square-foot building that will include rehabilitation services and a YMCA. Construction for the second phase is expected to be completed in December 2020.
“Sacred Heart’s Jacksonville office is extremely excited to be part of this ambitious project that will bring thousands of people to this community,” said Bob Thompson, CEO of Sacred Heart Jacksonville’s office. “Our part focuses on providing a wide range of health care services to the families that will make Wildlight their home.”
The medical office complex will hold 40,000 square feet of office and medical space for primary care using a patient-centered model focused on prevention and early diagnosis, urgent care staffed by emergency medicine faculty, imaging services, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology and more. Sacred Hearts has the possibility of adding other medical specialties, such as sports medicine and orthopedics.
Sacred Heart plans to expand its already substantial presence in Northeast Florida with more additions to the development in subsequent years. This will ensure Nassau County residents have greater access to the organization’s nationally-recognized health care providers.
Phase one includes the development of approximately 1,000 homes. Sacred Heart will provide medical and wellness services beginning with the medical office building.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sacred Heart to Wildlight. The company’s capabilities and vision will allow us to create a new model for community development that promotes better health for people who live, work and play here,” said President of Raydient Properties Chris Carr.
One of Wildlight’s key objectives is to create a community where people can live, work and play in a dynamic environment. Sacred Heart will provide the breadth of knowledge, talented faculty and resources to ensure healthy living is integrated into the fabric of the Wildlight community through healthy habits, fitness and recreation programs.
